PPD in Tattoo-Colorants

We have had many enquiries concerning pPD (p-Phenylenediamine) as it is known to cause allergic reactions.

PPD is used in hair colorants to achieve the darker colors.

PPD is not used in Tattoo Colorants and is not present in Colorants which have been tested by us according to ResAP(2008)1 or the German Tätowiermittelverordnung. PPD is listed in table 1, part 2 of ResAP(2008)1 as a non-permitted substance (EC-Number 2003-404-7) and in the German Tätowiermittelverordnung as a forbidden substance under  § 1, 4.

We recommend to check the products under and to be sure for yourself.
